As I blogged last month, my OT and I collaborate OFTEN. Her office is actually in my classroom. We see each other a lot and we work together very well. In my classroom we do daily art projects to strengthen our fine motor skills. When the OT is at our site, she will push in during art and give suggestions to myself and my paras. It’s a great routine we have going and I’ve seen a lot of growth in my students fine motor skills.
So every month, I hop onto pinterest and find some fun art projects that fit our letter of the week and our classroom theme. We mix up art projects between these two items with one requirement, each art project MUST contain a cutting element.
Check out our January Art plans. If you download the PDF, I have linked the source websites through the pictures. They take you to templates and patterns to go along with the projects. Click on the picture to download the PDF.
How do you strengthen student’s fine motor skills?

Thanks so much for posting these monthly plans! I do stations in my classroom, and try to incorporate a fine motor one which my paras are great assisting with! These are such a great resource for planning. Thanks again!

You are very welcome! I find it's easy to plan out a month and prep week by week. I'll have to share my prepping when I post next month's plans!
