I don’t know about you, but I’m always finding so many amazing ideas for teaching on Pinterest, but did you know there are some AMAZING Pinterest boards for behavior interventions? I have 5 go to boards included in this post. Take some time to explore around and check out interventions that you may not have thought of or be reminded of an intervention that worked in the past with all of these ideas!
1. Evidence Based Practices for Autism
This board is one of my favorites. I packed it full of resources and blog posts that are linked to the Evidence Based Practices for Autism. You’ll find a ton of ideas on this board that will help you introduce and shape new skills. You will also find ideas to target and track behaviors in your classroom as well.
2. Behavior Support Resources for the Autism Classroom
Autism Classroom Resources is such a great place to find all things Autism. Not only is Chris super knowledgeable about ASD and the students we serve (she’s a PhD!!), but she also explains things so thoroughly that I can walk away from reading any of her blog posts or listening to her podcast with ideas that I can take into my classroom immediately. This Pinterest board is packed full of the posts and resources she shares regularly on her website and it’s one of my go to boards!
3. Behavior
My Special Learners is my go to girl for easy to implement ideas. The ideas she shares on her behavior board are a great place to find interventions and ideas. On this board you’ll find a ton of social stories to support behavior as well as lots of ways to reinforce behavior in your classroom!
4. Behavior, Reinforcement, and Prompting, Oh My!
If there is something I believe to my core, it’s the fact that behavior is linked to reinforcement and prompting. I cover all things prompting and reinforcement on this Pinterest board so you can start working towards behavior change in your classroom. This board is packed with everything from data collection to different reinforcement systems you can use. Check it out and give one of these ideas a try!
5. Behavior Management
If you don’t know my girl Melissa and you’re talking behavior management, stop right now and check out her wealth of information about teaching students behavior. Melissa has even developed a step by step curriculum to teach your students appropriate behaviors. I love her focus on direct teaching of behavior skills. She also has all the visuals to support students who have escalating behavior. This board is a great place to figure out how to teach replacement behaviors to students.
Do you have any go to Pinterest boards for behavior? Let me know in the comments! I’m always looking for interventions I can implement easily in the classroom.
