It’s been a while since I linked up for Workbasket Wednesday, but I finally snapped some pictures of my Workbaskets and just had to share them with you all!
Check out these adorable Back to School tasks with a focus on fine motor skills!
This task has been a classroom favorite. Students use the tweezers to sort out erasers I snagged from the Target Dollar Spot. Using the tweezers is a great way to build fine motor skills into this basic task.
This task has less of a fine motor focus, but it’s still a great beginning of the year task. I found some shape buttons on sale at Walmart and scooped them up quickly. I chose 6 shapes and hot glued one of each to the bottom of a muffin tin from the Dollar Tree. I sorted out a few more buttons of each shape for students to sort.
I shared this task last summer. When I was browsing Michaels I found some awesome wooden shapes and hot glued them to clothespins. I then quickly made some images for students to put the clips on. I also made a set of word cards that I swap with the images for my group of readers.
Can you tell I love fine motor and clothespins?! This task is super simple for the beginning of the year. Students clip the image that is the same with a clothespin and place it in the all done box. I made some cute thematic clothespins by painting them to look like pencils!
